Lynn Locks

A locksmith can provide and install a wide variety of locks, including:
Cylinder Rim Locks – Includes rim latches, cylinder drawback locks, cylinder nightlatches, APG locks, rim deadlocks, deadbolts and rollerbolts etc. Cylinder rim locks are available with a large range of security features. The basic model is a simple latch that can be opened from the inside and let go with a key from the outside. Top-of-the-line models will include more functions like double-locking, dead-locking, resistance to hacksaw and drill attack and resistance to picking.
Tubular Deadbolt – It can be opened from inside by operating the lever unless it has been deadlocked from the outside with a reverse turn of the key. You can hold the latch back by using the snib.
The outside operation is by key, but it can be disabled by the snib button on the inside as a basic deadlock function. A simple key turn will deadlock both the inside lever and the bolt. This stops intruders from gaining access via another means and releasing the lock with the inside lever, but also means that it is possible to lock yourself indoors.
Cylinder Mortice Lock – Includes deadlocks, sashlocks, knobsets, nightlatches, sliding and metal door locks, plus panel locks etc.
Padlocks – Includes an extraordinary product selector for brass bodied padlocks, lever, cylinder, discus, laminated and combination padlocks, plus padbars, hasps and staples etc.
Cabinet and Camlocks- Includes cupboard locks, filing cabinet locks, camlocks and accessories, locker locks, box locks, till locks etc.
Door and Window – Includes metal/wooden window locks, door chains and bolts, multiple application locks, merchandisers etc.
Miscellaneous – includes bullet & shutter locks, parking posts, wheel clamps, gun cabinet locks, sae locks, vehicle locks, garage door handles etc.
Keyless Locks – Digital locks are extremely popular for access control. This allows users access to secure areas without needing to issue keys. A wide range of different types of locks and applications are available. Locksmiths can help with selecting the most cost effective and secure lock to meet your requirements. Models available now include stainless steel digital locks which have a higher level of corrosion resistance.

If you really want to complete home security, you can increase your home protection by implementing a secure home alarm system. The majority of criminals would rather target a house or commercial property which is NOT protected by a residential alarm system. In addition, government statistics show that the majority of attempted break ins committed on secure homes are actually unsuccessful. This proves that burglar alarms are an excellent form of protection and a an excellent way to prevent home break ins.

Lynn Keys

A locksmith should offer a wide selection of keys that you can select from:
Key cards
Car keys
Motorcycle key
Master Key
Magnetic card key
Skeleton key
Tubular keys
Control keys
Access keys
Zeiss Key
Double Sided keys
House keys
Paracentric key

An expert locksmith will also perform a lot of key services such as key cutting, rekeying of locks, and key duplication for many different types of locks and keys.

Types of keys a good locksmith should service:

Master Key – Master keys are a key used to open multiple locks. In houses, for example, master keys are almost always used to open all the doors in that particular residence, but the other room keys cannot do that.
Car Key – vehicle keys are used to open car doors, the car trunk and glove compartments as well as serving as the ignition key for the car itself.
Skeleton Key – skeleton keys, or passkeys, are a simple make of key that can open drawers and cabinets. Skeleton keys offer very poor security.
Key cards – a key card is usually a card with digital signature on it. Key cards are used to open electronic access locks which are regularly found in hotels and offices.
House Keys – there are two types of house keys: house keys for lever locks and house keys for pin tumbler cylinder locks. The main difference is in the way they operate. Lever lock keys lift flat levers in the lock making the levers to line up and shift a bolt back and forth. Cylinder lock keys align the pins in the lock with the key and the shear line of the cylinder lock enabling it to rotate, turn the key, and open the lock.
